The Unconventional Love Story That is Life

Image
What is love? Is it a definite thing or, some obscure metaphorical concept that's really beyond human thought? I believe that it is, it's a feeling most people can't explain, it exists in so many different forms, it is obscure at its very core. Love is everything and it is nothing, how can someone perfectly describe love into one  succinct  definition? I don't think it's possible. It's the one emotion in this world that is without logic, it is completely enveloped in emotion and sealed with an act more personal than life itself. It is bearing your soul to another person, every single facet and curve of your being is known to the partner you choose. I don't think anyone will ever define love because for every person it means something different. My parents met in 7th grade homeroom at Bayshore Middle School, Peterson came right  before  Quisenberry. Now I wasn't there (obviously) but from the stories I've heard it wasn't love at firs

Remember the Days When _____ Were Cool?

These days society, the world we live in is materialistic. The funny thing is now it's become a fashion to be unique and different, I'm still discovering if this is a good thing or a bad thing. The hipster fad has obviously made a splash, more like a tsunami. You know that movie with Ewan McGregor? The one where he can't find his family because this enormous typhoon causes everyone to evacuate and he can only choose one child? Hipster has caused all the normal people to evacuate, there are no longer any of them left.  Exaggerations aside everything about life these days is looking good, however you want to describe it I think people lose sight of what's really important. I can't say I'm nothing like those people because I am one of those people. I have a love for eye-liner that can't be matched and I quite enjoy smelling nice (I like to think Marc Jacob's "Honey" is my signature scent), and I even joined the fashionable ranks re

Sometimes People Make Me Wonder

Sometimes I wonder what people are really thinking, I like to think there are a set of rules for society. These directions for social etiquette seem like a given but are they really? In a public place do you put your feet all over everything like you’re at home? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve witnessed people walk in places barefoot.  Honestly I find this disgusting first of all people MRSA is a real thing and so is bacteria and second of all you do not know where that floor has been! This statement may make no sense but if you really think about it people walk over all kinds of surfaces, the beach, a sidewalk (where dogs happen to shit excessively), a corporate office or (let’s venture off and assume you live in Oklahoma) a cow paddy. When they walk into your local Starbucks everywhere they have been is now on the floor that you are walking on barefoot. So if you are in a place of food walking barefoot your probably stepped in dog shit, even if it is a really sma

Introducing Me...and my opinions...Enter at Your Own Risk

This is going to be a very short introduction of me, mainly because I really don't think you people want me to go into depth. Eventually I might who knows but you'll have to stay tuned for that. I'm a college student living in Bradenton, Florida (it's near Sarasota and Tampa if you can't find it on a map) I'm originally from Jacksonville, Florida where I frequent from time to time. I'm majoring in Business where I hope to become an event-planner of some sort but I enjoy writing. During high school I was on the staff of Stanton College Preparatory School's award-winning newspaper the  Devil's Advocate where I like to think I learned a thing or two. I want to apologize in advance for my lack of AP style and excessively wrong grammar (I tend to like run-ons) but while I was  there I think I developed my own personal writing style so there is that. In the past year since I've entered into higher education life has hit me a little
